Our thanks must go out to Marty and Carmen for suggesting a great St. Patrick's day ride after what seemed like a long winter.
They say that pictures are worth a thousand words and those pictures are on our web-site. http://gwta-oregon.org/Gallery/meeting3-17-07
It was an absolutely gorgeous day and Marty did a fantastic job of leading 10 bikes and 18 people and stopping at all the porta- potties (for the ladies, the guys never need to stop, LOL). The main part of the ride was along Cow Creek and then a stop at the 7 Feathers truck stop for lunch. After lunch we rode upper Cow Creek and visited Galesville Reservoir (another stop for the Ladies).
Well, as we were saying our good-bye's, someone mentioned the magic word, DQ, and we were off like lightening for Grants Pass. Marty led us past his house like it wasn't even there. That was great because I got to hug all the ladies again before departing our separate ways for home.
Now we need to do a lot more of those rides between now and July so we're all saddle broke for the trip to Sioux Falls, SD and Gold Rush XX.
Like Roy Rogers said, Until we meet again, ride safe, Don
