Rogue Valley Wings 2007 Charity Poker Run

What started out as a chilly morning turned out to be a beautiful warm day. Everyone pitched in and we were set up in record time.

It turned out to be a great morning for a ride. I believe we had three different groups plus a few individual riders and everyone returned without any bad incidents (except for one bee sting. By the way, the lady with the bee sting won with the best poker hand). That makes for a good ride. We had members represented from Chapter M, some riders who I didn’t know plus members of our own chapter. Our thanks to everyone who participated.

We had a lot of great prizes and the silent auction proved to be fun and rewarding. There was a great variety of foods offered (not to forget the coffee and donuts) and if you didn’t try the B-B-Q then you missed out on a great lunch. I understand that the hot dogs were also pretty good.

The DJ did a fantastic job of playing oldies but goodies at a comfortable listening volume.

I hope everyone visited the vendors and that no one forgets to thank Charlene and Steve for all their hard work and to Ken and Betty for providing the location and facilities. Actually I want to thank everyone for his or her hard work and participation. I believe it was a great day and a successful event.
