Wowl A gorgeous day, too much food and great company, what more could a person ask for? Well I can tell you this, I found the 5 pounds that I struggled to loose. Between the shrimp cocktail (huge shrimp), chicken, chips w/7 layer dip, macaroni salad, taco bake, potato salad, meat balls, spaghetti, bread, lettuce-egg salad, pickles, pistachio pudding, green salad, peach cobbler, lemon bars, marion berry crisp, and peach topped cake I don’t think anyone went home hungry. (Hope I didn’t forget anything).
We did receive some bad news, Steve’s son was in a terrible motorcycle accident in Las Vegas and is going through a slow recovery. Steve is there with him so Charlene stopped by just to drop off the 50/50 tickets, the infamous hat, and to fill us in on Steve’s son. Our prayers go out for a speedy and full recovery.
Betty won $24.00 for the 50/50 pot and $25.00 went to the Chapter.
And guess what? After all that food we just couldn’t resist a ride but had to decide where to go. It was getting late so I suggested we ride to Cave Junction for a DQ (what better way for a Goldwinger to top off a fantastic day?). Dick led and totally confused my GPS, it’ll never be the same. We took a few back roads and just enjoyed the 70-degree weather. I almost wore my arm out waving to all the other bikes we passed on the road, seems like every other biker in Oregon had the same idea. I think Dick may have signed up a new member while we were at DQ.
Ken led the way home and had to really tease me by riding past Lake Selmac, and I didn’t have my fishing poll. Anyway, it was a beautiful ride home and a fantastic end to another spectacular day.
Thank you everyone who attended, it was our pleasure to have you all at our home.
