NEW YEARS DAY 2008
CHAPTER "A" POLAR BEAR RIDE
OK! Now I understand the story of the new recruit sailor who wrote home to Mom and in his letter told her that they had gone marching that day and that he was the only one in step?
We planned a New Year day luncheon/ride to the Junction Inn in Cave Junction (dependent on weather) and Judy & I were the only two who decided whether to ride. Everyone else decided whether to drive ......BUT.......that’s great because we enjoyed a fantastic luncheon together and the start of another terrific year. Walk, ride or drive, the name of the game is "Destination Friendship".
The food was plentiful, service was great (thanks Dee Dee) and the room was welcome (thanks to Sharon, Gen. Mgr.). 23 of us enjoyed a great kickoff for the 2008-year (Now if I could only get people to ride).
I don’t really care how you get there just get there one way or the other so we won’t miss you. The more ladies that show up the more hugs I get and without knowing what tomorrow may bring I treasure each and every one of those hugs.
Has somebody got an idea for a get together? Let’s hear it, I’m usually game for just about anything. Life is short and I want to enjoy as much of it as I can crowd into a lifetime.
