JUNE SAFETY TIP

By Don Coons

TIRES: You only have two between you and the hard, hard pavement. Make sure they are in good shape and at the proper pressure before every ride.

On the 1500's and 1800's there is a plastic keeper to support the 90 deg. Valve stem. Make sure it is positioned properly. It is to support the valve stem from breaking due to centrifugal force. Look for nails (big and small) and side wall rock damage. Check wear bars for thread depth.

Check the "Tire Safety" article on this page for more information. Enjoy a great riding season and hope to visit with you at one of the many rally's this year.

Until then Ride Safe and enjoy each day like there is no tomorrow
